NORTHWICH & DISTRICT HERITAGE SOCIETY



The Northwich & District Heritage Society was established in 1985 as a registered charity and has been going from strength to strength.   Membership has continued to increase and there are now well over 240 members.  Audiences for the Society's lectures are also at an all-time high with full houses for the majority of speakers.

The aims of the Society are as follows:
* To promote greater awareness of the historical, archaeological, architectural and environmental heritage of Northwich and District for the benefit of residents and visitors.

* To encourage the conservation of all property of historical, archaeological, architectural and environmental value in the area and to assist in providing access to it where possible.

* To promote and undertake research connected with the heritage of the area.

*To co-operate, where possible, with any other individual body having similar aims.

The Society welcomes new members and it is simple and cheap to  join.  Ordinary membership is £6. Family membership is £8.  Concessionary membership is £3. Corporate membership is £17.50.
